Parts Sales Lead, Lancair, Redmond, OR April 2005 – June 2005
At Lancair I acted as the inside sales lead for the parts division. Duties included phone orders from around the world for all models of home built aircraft offered by the company. I interfaced with all the departments in the company to get the customer the parts and information they needed to keep their projects going. This was a temporary job placement through Express Personnel.

Project Manager/Sales, Cascade Sun Works, Redmond, OR June 2004 – March 2005
At Cascade Sun Works I was selling and planning installations of solar water systems, photovoltaic grid-tie and off grid systems, duties included selling systems, creating work orders, tasking installers as well as equipment ordering and staging. As a sales person I have been responsible for defining customer requirements, costing and quoting.

Owner, The Laundry Basket – Coin Laundromat, Bothell, WA Sept. 2002 – March 2004
Family owned and operated laundromat business with 20 washers and 12 dryers. Setup to be mostly self sufficient. Maintained all machines and facility. I helped support this business with my wife while working at Celltech.

Associate Computational Scientist, Celltech R&D Inc. – Bothell, WA Sept. 1999 – Jan. 2004
Member of the Seattle-based research group charged with finding new chemical entities and new biological entities as candidates to early stage research in the drug discovery process.

I created and maintained an enterprise wide collaborative research web application for storing and sharing information about DNA and amino acid sequences of interest. Requirements were derived from an existing prototype and use cases where written to document the requirements. I was the local president of the staff council for a year which is the group that met with the top management to represent the staff at our location.

Member of the Technical Staff (MTS)/Software Engineer, Boeing, Maui, HI Sept. 1993 – Sept. 1999
Built and supported software systems for the Air Force at the Maui Space Surveillance Site (MSSS). Built and formally tested the External Communications (XCOM) sub system of the next generation observatory control system (OCS). Derived and documented requirements for this project as well as participating in the global design of the larger system. Promoted to Technical Lead and worked in coordination with five other leads. Maintained existing software systems and assisted in the design and development of new scripts and utilities for mission planning. Designed using the Rational suite of object oriented software tools. Held a U.S. Government secret clearance for 8 years.

Observatory Operator/Mission Planner, Rocketdyne Technical Services, Maui, HI Oct. 1991-Sept. 1993
Responsible for utilizing the telescopes and their sensors to acquire positional, photometric, radiometric and imagery data on objects of interest. Mission planning for observatory resources and personnel. Used MS Excel extensively to produced the daily, weekly and six week satellite tracking schedule for day and night shift personnel. Member of the “Missile Team” which supported special missions.

Store manager for retail electronic equipment sales. Duties included customer service, sales, stock ordering and daily receipts and reporting.
