As your experienced Deschutes Commissioner, I understand the issues and provide a common-sense, respectful approach working across a mix of our citizens. We don’t want to repeat the same failed liberal policies of Seattle and Portland that have led to so much suffering.

I will deliver on things that affect you:

  • Homelessness – I believe we can balance compassion helping those in need with a more aggressive policing and social programs. Tents, trash, drug use and increased crime of the homeless is unacceptable. I’m collaborating with community leaders on creative solutions that deliver positive outcomes with a smarter approach.

  • Law & Order – Our police need financial support and the ability to enforce the law without restrictive progressive policies. I stand up to “bail reform” and “defunding the police” policies which lead to increased crime.

  • Fiscal Responsibility – I believe government must live within its means. I support balanced budgets and transparency. As a prior software engineer subcontractor with the US Air Force and computational biologist working on drug discovery R&D – I believe in the power of data and facts when making decisions that affect many families.

  • Mandates – I fought and stopped vaccine mandates and other more restrictive policies for Deschutes County. I believe in personal responsibility and not government overreach.

  • Lower taxes – I cut property tax rates in 2017 which put money back into the pockets of residents and small business where it belongs.

  • Respect – I believe it is in important to model mutual respect while working toward solutions. I also respect our first responder heroes, veterans and business leaders who create jobs that enable us to live the American dream.

I ask for your vote.
