Oregon Area Commission on Transportation (COACT): 2017 – Present
COACT was formed in 1998 to serve as a forum for the discussion, understanding, and coordination of transportation issues affecting the Central Oregon region.
Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council (COIC): 2017 – Present
“The Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council serves the local governments of Central Oregon, providing regional collaboration, efficiencies and service delivery for a strong local economy and quality of life.”
Central Oregon Regional Solutions Team: 2017 to Present
Starting at the local level to identify priorities, the Central Oregon Regional Solutions Team works from the bottom up to solve problems and complete projects.
Deschutes Historical Society – 2015 to Present
The Deschutes Historical Society is an organization “to gather, preserve and make available museum, library and other historical material relating to the history of Central Oregon”
Bend Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) – 2011 to Present

Bend Metropolitan Planning Organization (BMPO) is the federally designated regional transportation planning organization for Bend. It serves as a forum for cooperative transportation decision-making by state and local governments, and regional transportation and planning agencies. MPOs are charged with maintaining and conducting a “continuing, cooperative, and comprehensive” regional transportation planning and project programming process for the MPO area.

Board member in charge of land acquisition. Member of Senator Wyden’s ad-hoc committee on Deschutes County recreational assets. Successfully worked with then City of La Pine Mayor Stu Martinez, Deschutes County representatives, State Representative Gene Whisnant, and Senator Ron Wyden’s office to define possible permanent land for La Pine Rodeo and Frontier Days. La Pine Special Sewer district land has also been bundled with this bill. Legislation has passed US Senate sub committee and is waiting for votes in the House and Senate in Washington DC.

Hosting a morning radio show 6:30 to 8am at KITC 106.5 from Gilchrist, OR. Setup the remote La Pine studio in coordination with the station manager. Club/Board Member, Na Kai ‘Ewalu Outrigger Canoe Club, Maui, HI 1990 – 1999
Na Ka ‘Ewalu Canoe Club is a family sports and social club on the island of Maui. I was a member of the board who represented 300-400 members in managing the finances, equipment and events of the club. This club is one of many on the island and part of the State of Hawaii outrigger association which competes in weekend regattas as well as long distance races.
Rotary Club of Maui, Maui, HI 1990 – 1992
As a young store manager on the island of Maui, I was able to meet some of the top business people and managers of large businesses and get involved with community service. “Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.”

City of La Pine, Utilities Committee , La Pine, OR 2009 – 2010
The Utilities Committee for the City of La Pine was been charged with researching the possibility of bringing the La Pine Water and Sewer utilities into the city of La Pine’s organization.
Board Member/President, La Pine Park and Recreation District, La Pine, OR July 2005 – 2010
I was involved in 3 ballot measures to provide stable funding for the district. In May of 2009 the voters supported the district in passing the permanent tax rate of $0.30/thousand for the district. I was the board chair for two years and was able to hire the first paid director, completed the certificate of occupancy requirements for the White School Building and successfully managed the finances of the district.
